I stumbled upon this piece from 2 years ago and our research says that little has changed. Only very few Estate Agents are really mining big data, although there is so much readily available to them. It's high time one offers current and potential new customers tailored and relevant information that matches the users criteria.
Starberry and our clients are focusing on segmenting the master databases based on the customers criteria, i.e type, locations, profiles and overall requirements. We are then supplying relevant information and market insights via alerts and targeted email campaigns which can also trigger the delivery of various engagement series by way of content automation to upsell other value add services. Ultimately this empowers the customer to decide on the exact information they want to see, whilst always keeping your brand in the forefront of their minds, associating you with value in preparation for their next move.
In an age when "big data" is shaping our every move, how come an industry that takes so much profit can’t keep pace with technology and use it to actually deliver a service worth the money they take in commission?
